This year’s celebration will be the largest one yet due to the world suffering a global pandemic, where most of the planet’s population was forced to stay inside for a year. However, since 2020, social media platform memberships skyrocketed from 3.81 billion to over 4.66 active users in 2021.
What is Social Media Day?
According to Inda Today, ” World Social Media day was first celebrated by Mashable on June 30th, 2010, to put an emphasis on the impact of social media and its role in global communication.” For businesses, Social Media Day helps companies build relationships and connect with customers to promote and advertise their brand. At Dartronics, we have expanded our social presence this year to reach prospective customers and share expert automation industry insights. In addition, we proudly join this year’s celebration by sharing our most engaging content from each of our platforms:
With over 2.85 billion people on Facebook, it’s no wonder our Facebook Ad reached the most people on any platform we have used so far. In just a few short days, our ad reached over 21,000 people!

Owned by the world’s number one search engine Google, it’s no surprise Youtube is our second most popular platform for content. With over 15,744 views (and counting), our Dartronics Box Tilt and Label System video is our second most engaging social content. It is crucial to showcase our innovative industrial machinery in the automation industry. Youtubes’ platform of 2.1 billion users helps us connect with prospective customers and update current customers and vendors on our latest projects.
Dartronics only joined Twitter this past January, but it has become one of our most popular platforms with our vendors. In fact, our most engaging post with 1,480 impressions was a tweet about “National Inventors Day,” thanking some of our top vendors for all their innovative ideas.
Last but certainly not least is our ever-growing LinkedIn platform. Our most engaging post so far has been 256 impressions highlighting our best-selling FlexPackPRO® product, the 420 Series. Unlike the other social platforms, it is a platform that solely connects professional people and businesses. Though it has our least recorded impressions, it has the most audience growth of any of our existing platforms. Quality over quantity, we have captured hundreds of leads using Linkedin.
